Focus On Children Exhibit

"Focus On Children" is a photography exhibit benefiting Westchester County's children in need. Throughout the world, The United States is viewed as a beacon of hope for families wanting to provide a better future for their children. Many families use their life savings and undergo hazardous travel to reach our shores. Unfortunately, once here, they can be overwhelmed by language, health, education, employment and cultural barriers. The photographs represent the millions of children living below the poverty level but hoping for a better life. Proceeds of all sales will directly benefit the Hispanic Resource Center's academic support for children, helping both immigrants and low income families living in Westchester County.

SHOW DATES: April 2-28 in The Ossining Public Library Gallery

Howard Myers Photography

Howard Myers Photography
Ossining Public Library Exhibit- November 2013

"Howard has been actively involved in outdoor activities like hiking, running, and backpacking --appreciating nature with every step. At the beginning of his photographic career, most pictures were of scenery and landscapes rather than people. But recently Howie has changed the direction of his work, finding that pictures with people increase the interest level. As the rocker Rod Stewart wailed in his inimitable style, “Every picture tells a story, don’t it!” And with faces, the story becomes intriguing."
